This deserves to be posted again, since news officials have taken off the previous video I posted about the hate in Orange County.

I am appalled at the behavior of Deborah Pauly, Ed Royce, and Gary Miller.  What kind of people do we appoint to office?  To serve us?  To represent the voice of the people?

I don’t know about you but for DAMN SURE that is not what my people are saying.  The funny thing is… these CHRISTIAN REPUBLICANS are the same people, I’m sure, who attend mass on Sundays, praising the Lord and preaching to others that they’re real Christians who live to serve God and accept others.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.  This video needs to circulate so others, within and outside of the Muslim community, can understand and acknowledge the hate and stigmatization people who practice Islam undergo daily.

I don’t think this is any different from the Civil Rights Movement for African-Americans.  This is our Civil Rights fight.  This is what we should stand up for.  We preach equality, yet I see so many strides left untaken.

I would encourage you to PLEASE write to these people.  Below, I’ll include the contact information.  RE-blog and send forth so we can get this out in the open and do your part in speaking your piece, in speaking for peace.

If you were moved by this video as much as I: sick to your stomach, disgusted with the status of the mentalities of those within our state, angry, and distrusting of the power left within the hands of people who genuinely believe their words and beliefs to be the TRUTH, I encourage you to do your part and spread the word, at least.

If then you are determined to do more, do not be hesitant to let these people know. They are supposed to serve you, and if they’re not doing a good job, it is our duty to let them know.

I woke up this morning with this song in my head. U Send Me Swingin - Mint Condition.

Then, I was thinking about where the hell the loves songs are nowadays. I’m sure not many people even know this song. Granted I was probably only in elementary when this song came out, but I’ve been told that I have an old soul when it comes to music. The music in the present just can’t touch the way that music it used to be. They just throw shit together to make sure it’s catchy and the songs have no meaning. If you want to know some REAL baby-makin music, lemme know. haha 

I’m waiting for the full 360, if that will ever happen. These underground artists that actually make songs with meaning need to step it up. Just because it’s catchy, doesn’t mean I’m going to want to hear it 10 years down the line..
